Introduction:

Call of Duty 3 is yet another marvelous video game in the well-known series of Call of Duty. Developed by Treyarch and Pi Studio and published by Activision. It was released on XBox 360, Playstation and Wii and became one of the major successful video games of the year 2006-2007. Call of Duty 3 was released on November 7, 2006 in North America. Later on it was released in Europe and Australia also. Development:

Call of Duty was developed by Treyarch (subsidiary of Activision group) in association with Pi Studio. It was published by Activision and released for major seventh generation video game systems including XBox 360, Playstation and Wii. However unlike previous versions of Call of Duty, it was not released for PC.

Plot:

Plot of Call of Duty 3 was same as its prequels and depicts the incidents during World War – II. The major difference between this part and other games in series was that, in Call of Duty 3 there is a single combined campaign and player gets switched between four nations with different characters. There are 14 missions in the game divided in 4 major campaigns. The very first campaign is American Campaign in which player takes the role of “Private Nicholas” and gets engaged in missions such as capture of Saint-Lô, defending Chambois and many more. After that British campaign takes place and plays as Sergeant James Doyle. Third campaign is Canadian Campaign and player has to play as Private Cole and last campaign is Polish Campaign and player has to take the role of Cpl. Bohater, a tank driver that gets engaged in sweeping German forces across French countryside.

Call of Duty 3 maintains the thrill and excitement of players with its amazing missions and campaigns that hold the interests of players. Great sound effects are one of most positive aspects of the game. Visuals and graphics of game are worth mentioning. Designing of game is also a positive point and helps the player to completely engage in the environment of war. By online multiplayer facility 24 players can play the game simultaneously. However this functionality of multiplayer options varies according to the video games systems being used. The gameplay of Call of Duty 3 is improved than first two parts. In Call of Duty 3 players can choose from a class of soldiers and a team that defines the weaponry and abilities of the player. There are six game modes available out of which six is team based and one is individual.

Call of Duty 3 suffers from some small negative points such as inconsistent frame rate, insufficient training modes and some control problems.

Response:

Game critics and game lovers both to a very high level acclaimed call of Duty 3. Although its reception was not as strong as first two parts yet it managed to get game ranking of 72% to 84% on different video game systems. Different game sites also give positive reviews about the game.

The game is divided into 3 parts - beginners, medium and experts. It will let you know to effective mouse handling on the PC. From your mouse you can target your enemy as a cop and can shoot them. If you miss they will kill you. You will get total 5 credits in every game. 5 credits have 5 life. If you shoot a civilian person then also you will lost 1 point.

“Unlike Star Wars and Indiana Jones, LEGO Batman is a completely original story not based on any movie or comic book arc. The premise is straight out of Detective Comics 101: Villains escape Arkham Asylum and it's up to the Caped Crusader to hunt them down and send 'em back. One would assume that not pulling from the almost 70 years of source material would be a bad thing, but in this case keeping it simple frees Traveller's Tales up to do what they do best by capturing the essence and soul of the Batman universe through spot-on pantomimed storytelling. Batman is unflappable, the Joker manic, Robin is childlike in his goofiness, and Catwoman is, well, as sexy as the LEGO version of a woman dressed in an all-black leather cat suit can be. The cut scenes are incredibly entertaining and if you don't laugh while watching the Joker/Harley Quinn/Commisioner Gordon sequence then you may be working with a heart that's a few sizes too small.

However, the same thing can't be said for the personality of Gotham City. While it could be argued that Gotham City isn't the most vibrant and alive place to begin with, the backgrounds in LEGO Batman could be replaced with any dark alley or streetscape from Anylargecity, U.S.A. and no one would be the wiser. While the aesthetics of Batman's home turf fall a little short the mood is brought up to gritty speed—well, as gritty as a LEGO game can be--by the inclusion of Danny Elfman's score from the 1989 film. The music does get repetitive at times, but the familiar chords from the Tim Burton classic should put a smile on any Bat-fan’s face.”

About the game company’s director or marketing says, “Star Wars is and will always be a core part of our DNA at LucasArts," said Kevin Kurtz, the company's director of marketing, George Lucas created such a deep universe ripe with possibilities that it will continue to be a source for incredible stories and gameplay for years to come.”
